Language is such powerful thing and with just a few well chosen tweaks we could switch this magazine cover’s message to one of appreciation  instead of reinforcing the power of the ridiculous, diminishing attitude that you can’t be beautiful and old.  Can we believe she’s 50?  Of course we can!

And the next time someone thinks they are paying you a compliment by telling you you don’t look your age, just tell them, “No, this is what (50) looks like.  And I’m loving it!”
